Come Fly With Us

Welcome to Fly Yoga Studio!
Congratulations, you've made the first step towards a happier, healthier
you.

Why Fly?
Fly Yoga Studio is an aerial yoga studio (often referred to as gravity yoga). Never tried it? You're missing out. Come fly with us and release your inner child as we flip, swing, twirl and spin around (while burning calories). Or bring your child with you! We offer kids yoga too! It's way easier than it looks. Watching an aerial yoga class can be a little intimidating at first, but we promise that at the end of your first class you'll leave thinking "wow, i didn't know i could do that! That was fun!"

What to wear
Wear workout clothing that covers underarms and legs (shorts are not recommended). Cotton or cotton blend fabric is best. Not too loose clothing, your shirt should be snug fitting, if not, just layer on top of a tank top. Gloves and Socks can be worn if preferred. Jewelry and lotion is not recommended.

Who can do Aerial Yoga?
You Can! Everyone can do aerial yoga. If you can do 2 pushups, you can successfully finish an entire aerial yoga class. Since this is a YOGA class, there is no competing! Everyone leaves their first class a success! Classes are small so each and every student gets a little one on one help from the instructor.
How you will feel after a class
After an aerial class you will feel taller and lighter. Aerial yoga decompresses your spine, releasing all of those toxins and aches and pains that build up daily. Anyone who has back pain should be taking this class. Aerial hammocks are better than inversion tables, they allow you to hang freely, allowing your spine to lengthen.

Don't be surprised if you get "hooked on the hammock" It's not just yogis that love aerial yoga, people from all physical backgrounds love aerial yoga. You'll find traditional poses like downward dog and warrior pose, but you'll also experience all new poses that are unique to aerial yoga that give you a total body relaxation that will last for days. (no leaving with sore wrists and bruised backs here)

What to bring
Yoga mats are not a necessity for an aerial class, although some students do like to bring one for extra grip under their feet during poses. Not a yogi? No mat? No problem! We have some here to share : )

You should bring a bottle of water with you to class although we do not recommend eating o drinking 1-2 hours before a class. 3 hours before a class you eat a balanced (non acidic meal) with plenty of water.

You should not take a class if any of the following pertain to you:
Pregnancy
Glaucoma
 Recent Surgery
Heart Disease
Very High or Very Low Blood Pressure
Easy Onset Vertigo
Osteoporosis or Bone Weakness
Recent Concussion or Head Injury
Head Cold, Flu, or Sinusitis
Hiatal Hernia or Disc Herniation
Recent Stroke
 Artificial or Re-Surfaced Hips
